Neat little museum full of history related to the area. We've lived right next to Chambersburg for 2 years and didn't know a fraction about the history until we visited this place. Yes they charge, and yes it's a guided tour, but you easily get your money's worth.
The old Jail is located on the corner of second St and East King St. In front of King Street Church and next to King St Ministry center. We parked by the ministry center. The old jail is a great place to visit. The tour lasted about one hour. We visited the first floor, the second floor, the yard and the dungeon. You can access different cells. This place is amazing. We called ahead to make sure that someone was going to be there to give us the tour.
Tour only cost a few dollars and takes about an hour. Take the come to ask your guide questions about the objects. Lots to see and learn!!!!
