I have driven 13 miles, and past multiple thrift stores, to donate to the Salvation Army Thrift Store for the past several months. I felt it was important to go to the extra trouble to donate my household items to them. Today I was met with a barrage of questions about what I was donating and a long list of what they did not want. Turns out I wasn’t trying to donate any of the forbidden items on their list. However, I feel there are better ways to treat people and their donations so I will save myself the long drive next time I have donations for a thrift store. I have a Goodwill one mile away.

Employees refused to wear masks and one was coughing at register and when sorting clothes. I asked Heidi why they were not wearing masks and was told they only took them off when they were talking to each other. I pointed out the other woman appeared sick and didnt have a mask at all. She shrugged. Mind you they observe the rules when it suits them, i.e. no returns. Theyve lost a regular customers.

Has really impressed, I've never been to a salvation army but this is handsome down better than any Goodwill I've seen. It was super clean, and everything was priced really really well.

Went in today with a few items to donate and was hassled by the girl who was working in receiving about a rug being dusty and she would not take it . The rug was Nordstroms and nice quality and had been our garage for a few years. 50 thrift store value . Hard to figure this one out? Do Not want to use Goodwill , but may be forced because of this incident
