This is not a biblical or faithful church and should be avoided. The pastor has committed apostasy and does not know good doctrine. Anyone can read their Bible verse-by-verse, but that does not mean you know correct doctrine or correct practices. He has said more than once how Rome is a legitimate church and a miraculous experience for him from his youth. While it is true most pastors do not tell their congregations how they've capitulated, ironically here, most Calvary Chapel churches renounce Rome. Doctrine is not emphasised here (and Rome certainly has unbiblical doctrine), and the pastor mentions quite constantly his wonderful calling to Charleston as an emotional ploy onstage. You can even see it in his eyes that something is very amiss. He is also being controlled by at least one woman in the church. The woman who runs the women's ministry is the Semiramis figure behind the scenes and is threatened even by people she doesn't know to protect her position in the church and also at least one of her sons' marriages and position in the church. It's pretty sad when a woman dominates over grown men and they let her and she doesn't know her place either. She holds herself to be entitled to your life in a deeply inappropriate personal way just because of the position she's vied for in the church and has ensured her progeny to have. It makes the place appear more white-trash than humble servants. Ironically, they are all about being pro-Israel and pro-patriotic and quite fearful of the world and times we are living in, but they don't realise how the church is fulfilling prophecy by departing from being biblical.

We moved from area and was not a fan of Charleston area but that was the best calvary chapel i have ever been to they really make you feal at home and part of there family Richard as he will say was a fantastic speaker . Being fairly new at going to church he really know how to get the message without boring or jumping around so much that you loose track .like has happened to me at other very good churches i just need to get him and his family church included to move 3500miles . Thank you for all you have done for me and my wife God bless all.
