We visited over the 2020 holiday season and I must say that the cathedral is breathtaking! The architecture, the statues, the murals... everything was beautiful! And the holiday decorations were beautiful as well! A beautiful place for upward reflection and introspection!

If you are Catholic or non-Catholic please set time in your schedule to stop by the Cathedral. You need to see the finished renovations. I'm absolutely in love with the ceiling. They nailed it! Not that it was bad before, but seriously a 10/10 on the hard work. Walk around the inside of the church to see all the beautiful stain-glass windows. (Side-note: my absolute favorite moment of the year here is Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve. You must experience this once in your life).

What a gorgeous church. Of all the churches even in Italy when we lived there, this has been my favorite. If you are ever in downtown Charleston, take a couple mins to slow down and visit this cathedral. Don't forget to stop and see the local Sisters to support the Daughters of St. Paul over on King Street!

We thoroughly enjoyed the service last Sunday & the cathedral is absolutely gorgeous!!! It was refreshing to see a real mass with all of the traditions we grew up with!!! We were visiting from Winter Park, FL & the mass was the highlight of our trip!!! Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome!!! Looking forward to our next visit!! Susan
