Charlie’s work is nothing short of phenomenal!!! My Bach Strad is 27 years old and *was* showing signs of severe deterioration (red rot, silver pitting everywhere my hands hand been touching from years and years and hour and hours of use). — My baby now plays with the same beautiful/refined tone she’s always had, but looks and moves like the day I purchased her (with my parents help) many moons ago. INCREDIBLE! Charlie is no ordinary instrument repair person - he is a MASTER of his craft. Further, in my dealing with him, he shows a level of integrity and accountability that is hard to come by in our society today. Ive never met him and, you could probably imagine that I was nervous to mail my 27 yr pride and joy instrument to a complete stranger; however, it quickly became obvious to me that this is a fine man and a true artist - best decision I ever made. Just got my Bach strad trumpet back today. Been playing this horn professionally for over 45 years (10 of them on cruise ships) and it needed a lot of work (re-silver plating, valve job, new lead pipe and some new slides and tubing). Charlie's Brass Works was recommended by a local guy I know in the DC area. I could not be happier. The horn looks and plays like new. Charlie kept me informed every step along the process. I could not be happier with his work.
Hi...I sent in a Bach Strad #37 trumpet to Charlie for refinishing. It was in pretty good shape but desperately needed a refinish. Charlie was recommended through another contact on the net as being the best in the business. I contacted him via email and was very comfortable in sending the trumpet to him (I am in Canada). I received the horn in the mail today and I cannot express how happy I am with the job he did. OUTSTANDING!! Thank you Charlie...you certainly are the best. Good health... Steve
