I usually don’t look forward to making phone calls having to do with placing orders. Modern Fabrics is the exception. Some of the best customer service I’ve ever received...not just when dealing with fabrics, but in general. Ewa is a pleasure to work with and offers a wealth of knowledge. I will use Modern Fabrics any time I can when picking fabrics for high end chairs and other projects. Great pricing, great products, and great info on their website (down to how scratchy a fabric may or may not be!) Then, add in the fact that you are helping reduce waste by purchasing designer fabrics that may have otherwise ended up in a landfill... I don’t know why you’d ever want to shop anywhere else!

Ewa has an exceptional eye for wonderful fabrics that work especially great on vintage design. The quality of fabrics we have purchased are second to none. On top of having a great selection with amazing prices, Ewa is a treasure to work with. She goes above and beyond sending us samples to us here in California that she thinks would work for us and has a good eye! I found this gem of a fabric store by pure chance. The quality of the material was exceptional and the woman who helped me was fantastic. I only wish I had her name to properly thank her. She spent time helping me select the appropriate fabrics for my project as well as correct quantity. She even spent time encouraging my daughter on her latest seeing project. It's those little acts of encouragement and kindness that left me smiling and looking forward to my next visit. I can't wait to go back for more fabric when another project comes around.
We weren't the typical customer, but Modern Fabrics saved our Halloween by giving my 6-year-old the coolest piece of green fabric when he lost his cape and refused to accept payment! Such a thoughtful heartfelt gesture. We got a real-life hero in addition to our costumed crusaders. The fabric selection was amazing, and organized by texture and type. What a wonderful store! I can't wait to upholster something.
