I have been a student of the school for the past 3 years - Classical approach to drawing and painting is the way to go to develop strong skills.
I travel over 2 hours to this Academy because the instructor, Mark Gucciardi, and the school's classical approach is teaching me skills that most art schools and universities do not. Though this is a serious study of art, the atmosphere is very welcoming and supportive to all ages and abilities levels. I highly recommend Mark and the Academy to any one who wants to begin or hone his/her artistic skills.
My favorite classical academic art school. He has students from 14 to 88. You may also purchase classical paintings, drawings, and murals commissioned by Osiris Rain.
I have been attending North Carolina Academy of Art for 3 months and have seen vast improvements in my drawing skills and learned invaluable lessons in drawing. Mark Gucciardi provides a comfortable and fun environment to learn in. I highly reccomend this school for beginning artists and for people who wish to revive and refresh their drawing skills.
