This place is amazing. I did not know such places exist. This center is huge and you can find anything from hiking, kayaking, white water rafting, climbing to zip lining and rope climbing and mountain biking. Please see some pics we took. You can easily spend days in that place. There are also restaurants and places where people can picnic.

Great date night the LIGHTS display is gorgeous. It’s a 1/2 mile trail. There is ice skating too. We ate dinner at the River’s Edge and it was delicious. This was our first visit but we plan to go back for yoga and warmer weather activities. Very pet friendly too!

Favorite place to visit in Charlotte. So much to do. Such a great place to spend time outside. The ice skating and forest lights is a particular favorite for our family. In summer months there is life music and fireworks on key holidays. There is hiking for all ages; some more advanced trails for bikes and runners as well as some easy loops back in the woods for the little ones. Lots of running trail races throughout the year. Also, there are a couple great beer gardens here and an overall excellent spot to enjoy a drink outside.

Great place for date night! We originally came here for the ice skating, which was very pretty. We also found a little eatery right next to the skating rink which offered a small bar and some hot food items. We also found a walking trail with beautiful lights. It was so gorgeous, mushroom shaped, cocoon shaped, and other light displays that enhanced the natural beauty of the trail. You do have to pay for parking here, but I definitely recommend the Whitewater Center for date night or family outing. We will return in the future to try some daytime activities.

This place is amazing and we're lucky enough to have it close to our house. The summer activities like rafting and paddle boarding are always fun and we just went ice skating twice last week since we had such a good time. The friendliness of the young staff has been hit or miss- there are definitely people there who engage in positive interaction but we've had quite a few who could care less or even slightly rude. A day full of activities for the family can get expensive but I can understand why when taking into account the ongoing site improvements and upkeep on a place of this scale. Overall we always leave with big smiles
