The absolute worst tax service that I have ever had. I went to them after another preparation service could not complete my out of state tax return. I was told that this office could complete an. Accurate return. They made very large mistakes. First attempt they said I was due a refund of 4500.00 After discussing my concerns of why I believed I was not due a refund they assured me I was due the refund and that the return was correct. They contacted the state and found that the money in question was fully taxable then amendment one was initiated and then they said I owed 1100.00. They then taxed my income for the entire year when only eight months were taxable. Then amendment two was initiated they said that I owed 449.00. They did not include the social security earnings as was required on the return. I then went to the office and sat down and we went over the return for the fourth time Prior to the forth attempt I took my information to another preparier and found out I was actually due a refund of 100.00. I took all this information to them and even called the preparier and we all discussed the final results they still did not agree that there was a mistake. The next morning I called the state verified the information in question and the numbers were Suposed to be added to the return so they could be subtracted from the final amount due on the return. I called the office and explained the verification. In other words each time mistakes were made I had to find them and explain them. They do not listen to my concerns, they give me excuses not reasons for the mistakes. I took my business elsewhere. If you go there make sure that you triple check all information and numbers and take the return to get it second checked. There is NO CREDIBILITY THERE..... They did agree to refund my money for the preparation.
I went in for my '15 and 16' taxes. Just last year I got a letter from the IRS saying that I owed money for those two years... I should have paid, not got back almost 4K. I called and asked and took in the letters to Mt, View. Later, was handed a form to fill out and told to send a check to the IRS so they can auto deduct out of my checking account. I received no explanation as to what happened and my phone calls were never returned. I had to use them in '17... I felt I couldn't do it myself. I paid over 300 to get 400 back... didn't make sense. I used Turbo Tax this year and paid under 100. It was insanely simple to do and I found out in 2 days if my return was accepted... not 2 years. The people at Mt. View are nice... but money is money and I feel more empowered by doing my own taxes... which included stocks, bonds, IRA accounts... etc. Turbo tax is simple!!
This is our second year working with Wendy at Mountain View and we would go nowhere else. The attention to detail is impressive and they have great communication with their customers. Definitely would recommend them to anyone looking for tax services!
