Cute little museum, and very helpful friendly staff! I live right around the corner from this place and my son and I have visited it multiple times, it may be small but it has some cool stuff inside that is definitely worth checking out!

Our kids loved this place when they were young. We still visit occasionally. There's lots of good historical information that concerns both railroading and the history of southern Maryland. The museum is small enough for a younger child to get a good embrace of it, but has enough by way of exhibits and information to hold his/her attention. Over the years, the staff have been unfailingly knowledgeable, and pleasant. They generally love kids. This is a great place for children (5 or 85).

This is a place worthy of a detailed tour. The information about the railway, the era when it was popular, and the surrounding regions economic condition, is a very interesting and worthwhile study. Plus that they present family fun days twice a year is twice the pleasure when you have younger children who want something unique. Even being a small, County run Museum, it's worth multiple hours with teenagers who can pay attention or research the railway history information.

We stumbled upon it trying to find the beach. Upon entering the building we were warmly greeted by Michael. He was sooo kind and took his time to give us a detailed tour. We learned a lot and had a good time. Thank you !
