I was placed on female hormones to increase my testosterone levels. My medications where changed and I was never informed. When my A1C improved I was switched to dosages the caused the increase and and the given increased dosages of another medication. Dr.LaRocqie never did a diabetic foot examination yearly. Never addressed my concerns or those of other physicians who sent documentation about his treatment. He does not believe in patient participation in plan of care. Practice methods are out dated with little concern for client well being.

In 2010 they found a mass on my Thyroid gland and never recommended to remove it. I decided to get a second opinion in 2018 and my new doctor was amazed that the previous doctor had not recommended removal of the mass.My new doctor set me up with a surgeon to remove the mass and thyroid cancer was found. After two treatments my cancer has evolved into bone cancer and is incurable. If this mass had of been removed in 2010 I am sure I would not be in this situation.

My experience was great. From being able to reach someone on the phone to the last detail of the visit. The staff are very friendly folks and helped in every way possible.

I would NOT reccomend this practice. Extremely unprofessional and rude. I saw DRM Gilman and she was soooooooo rude. Basically told me I had to stop nursing my 6mth old because of the meds I'm on (which are safe for nursing moms btw because my PCP specifically chose them because I'm nursing) and tried to push her views on me about how I'm raising my kids which literally have zero to do with my thyroid if you value your health dont go here. She didnt explain anything at all. Sent me for bloodwork and then didnt even do everything and requesting more blood. Nope. I haven't been to see endo for almost 7 months. Because this has literally scarred me. I would never wish the way they talk to ppl on my worst enemy.

Dr. Leroy Jackson is very knowledgeable, but treated me like i was nothing. I am a female prior military, very condescending as if he did not want to be bothered. I had just got out of the hospital resulting in diagnosis that I have a tumor on my pituitary gland. I was out of thyroid pills which ask for, I was ask to sit and wait after my appointment for information on getting a prescription. He never came back out to let me know he prescribed anything. I sat there after about a half hour after being seen, I ask at the desk if He ever took care of the prescription. I was told he did not and ask me to call later. I have called several times in the last 2 weeks. Still no answer or results about getting medication. Do not go to this place. Dr. Paul B. Mitchell Neurosurgeon in Norfolk, Va Was the best and knows his stuff and great bedside manner. After long research I wish the hospital had given me an appointment with him.
