What I like about this high school is the teachers who are willing to help you succeed but the courses (even the IB and AP) are too easy because the teachers go at a very slow pace with the material. Since the school is termed as a \college preparatory school\ courses should be completed at a fast pace by semester (not by year) like in college. The school also has really good food for a high school. Overall Cheshire Academy is a good high school but I would not consider it to be \college preparatory\ because of its slow pace courses.

In terms of boarding schools in CT, Cheshire Academy has been a very rewarding work experience. The faculty, staff and students have all created an amazing community here on campus. Whether development and alumni relations, admissions or athletics, I can honestly say it's been a joy and pleasure to work with everyone.

My experience at Cheshire Academy was the most wonderful, enlightening, fulfilling and worthy experience that I had lived in my life. Some of my best friends came from this academy, almost twenty eight years ago I studied there, and today, I still remember those magnificent days I lived at Cheshire. I could say that Cheshire is part of my life, and will always be. A big hurray for Cheshire Academy and all their teachers, and people that make dreams come true.

Overall, my experience as an ambassador was very positive this year. I know I informed many people about the wonderful qualities of CA and I enjoyed giving so many tours. I especially enjoyed giving tours with another person because it's nice to have someone else to fill in any information I might have forgotten. The only thing I would change for next year is that there be at least one day student for day student tours and one boarding student for boarding student tours. I think this would ensure that the family is receiving proper information about what their child's experience will be like at CA. All in all, I'm glad that I was able to be such an active ambassador.

I teach mathematics at Cheshire Academy and have 15 years experience there. I have also taught in public schools, other private schools, as well as internationally. Cheshire Academy makes a point of working closely with its students. There are never isolated academically or socially. The math department is one of the strongest I have ever seen. Our students have placed either first or second in the New England Mathematics League competition every year for at least the last 10 years. We work hard to ensure our students make excellent progress in math, offering daily extra-help sessions and one-on-one appointments with students. Most teachers live on campus and are there to help students in the dormitories. I could go on much longer. With its great academics, social programs, sports, and campus life Cheshire Academy is the kind of school that I wish I could have gone to.
