We booked this as a surprise for my mom’s birthday and we cannot say enough good things about the experience. The staff was responsive, met all of our needs, and very accommodating. The cruise itself was beautiful. The sunset was the highlight of the evening, and you can’t beat the view you get from the upper deck! Thank you to the staff and crew for helping us make this a night my mom will always remember!

Yesterday we celebrated my wife's 50th Birthday on the Packet. It could not have been a better experience from top to bottom! Awesome food (filet mignon sliders, peeled jumbo shrimp and orzo pasta salad), spectacular scenery and accommodations and most importantly a staff that was a joy to partner with. We had to reschedule due to COVID-19 but I sincerely believe that we didn't have a lesser experience even with the masks and social distancing. Stephanie, Kelley and the Ship's Captain were all seasoned veterans at their craft and did all that they could to make our celebration a memory for a lifetime! I searched Alexandria, DC, Baltimore, Annapolis, Cambridge and Aberdeen when considering dinner cruise charters and The Packet was far and away the most reasonably priced and offered the casual and relaxed experience of a lifetime! We had 33 guests on board for 2.5 hours from 6:30-9:00 pm and even though the outside temperature was probably about 93 @ the start, once underway it was quite comfortable with the breeze on the forward and upper decks and always comfortable in the a/c'd salon area. We definitely would have been comfortable with another 20-25 people. The highlight of the cruise was the beautiful sunset. My only regret is not booking a longer cruise. This is definitely a hidden gem and I could not give the experience a higher review. If you're looking for a casual scenic dinner cruise for 10-65 people, The Packet is a no - brainer, even if you have to endure a little beach traffic to get there (our entire party came from the west side of the bay). Went on the brunch cruise this past Sunday with my family and it was wonderful. Greg,Kelly and Gabriel where great hosts and I can’t say enough about the day. I would suggest to go explore this great little treasure on the Chester River
We decided to have our anniversary dinner on the Chester River packet and it could not have been a better experience. The views of the river and the sunset were spectacular. The food was delicious with ample portions and beverage service was great. The staff are as friendly as can be. The atmosphere is so warm and friendly that in no time, the passengers were all talking with each other as if we had been friends for years. We won't wait so long before we go out on another trip. The Chester Packet is part of what makes Chestertown a special place.
