South Shore Line do not have any customer service, they refer to Metra's customer service if you have any questions. However, if you call Metra they cannot give any information on South Shore line services. They do not have good frequencies and their services are pretty unreliable, but the fares are high.

I am so happy that you instituted a quiet car. Unfortunately, some people don't seem to understand what that means. Some conductors announce the rules but not all of them do this. In addition, they don't revisit the car to enforce the rules. Riders often have to ask others to be quiet, which may or may not help. It might be helpful if you could put up large posters outlining the rules and consequences of ignoring the rules--the letter-sized announcement goes unnoticed. Also, having the conductor revisit the quiet car several times to be sure the rules are being observed might add authority to the rules.
The South Shore is a great way to get around and the prices are only a little too high. However, they are constantly late. You have to expect that they will be at least 15 minutes late. If you have a tight schedule do not trust that their arrival times will be correct. Furthermore, on the evening trains heading East, the crew will always make everyone on the train move all the way as far forward on the train as possible. Craming everyone into a couple of cars. For what reason, I can only guess is that they don't want to open any more doors than they have to. Now, don't get me wrong. Most of the crew are friendly, but that policy of making everyone move is ridiclulous.
convenient for getting to Chicago but not quick. Takes some time getting to Chicago. Plenty of stops.
If you're going to have a quiet car please enforce it!
