This is the second time they've bailed me out of an Avis s--- show, and thus are now the only way I'll go at O'Hare. Standing on line in the so-called Avis Preferred, I called Alamo. Literally 10 minutes later I was tossing my bag in a car while 8 other \preferred\ customers waited at the off-brand. Counter people friendly, fast, and efficient. Rate was just fine. And they even upgraded me to a fun car vs the econobox I would have had at brand x. Return was fast and efficient, too. Thanks for your help, folks!
EDIT: I removed a star because they charged me for two gallons of gas @ 3.67 even though I topped off the vehicle before I brought it back in. There was no way they could have fit even another gallon of gas in that tank. Never had that happen before... otherwise: Great customer service, efficient, car looks good. No complaints. Made reservation with Alamo to bail me out of a bad situation with Fox Rentals (did you know their cars can't leave the state of Illinois?). Yes, they are more money than Fox & Sixt but I've learned that you get what you pay for. Alamo, I hope you have a frequent car renter program because I'll be back \u003c3
Great experience with Alamo in terms of ease of booking, pickup and drop services in addition to the great customer services. Best prices offered on rentals compared to other competitors and a good inventory of vehicles on airports and other centers as well. Overall a great user experience towards renting a car either for short or long haul trips and worth being loyal and sticking to Alamo! Cheers!
There is a reason why Alamo is rated as one of the best at Ohare, not only on google but also on discount travel sites. I was going to opt for a cheaper company but I wanted this specific rental to put me at ease. Went here and worked with Vartan who absolutely took care of me. I wanted to rent a mid-large suv but was unsure about sizing. Granted it was during downtime, he took me to the lot and explained exactly what I needed to know. The car he suggested was perfect and I was glad that I could go and see the trunk spaces of the options. I left the lot feeling confident that I made the right choice to go with a reputable company. The process is seamless and I would highly recommend.
