Went on opening day, so the staff was a little unpracticed but still handled things relatively well. I got the BBQ pulled pork and it was pretty awesome. The meat was cooked real nice and tender and the sauce was addictive, needless to say that was wrapped in a waffle as all their food is here. Prices are a little higher than I'd like but the food is definitely unique. Looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu.

Bagels are great and everything, but salmon on waffles is even better! This is def my new go to River North sandwich stop. The waffles are the perfect texture and the chive creme fraiche is addictive. Order anything with that- it's like cream cheese, but smoother. There's a bit of a wait, but they just opened! I'm very interested in trying one of their lunch varieties next.
I ordered a sirloin burger and sweet potato fries while my girlfriend ordered a Nutella milkshake and a buttermilk fried chicken sandwich. Probably the best sweet potato fries I've ever eaten, and all the rest of the food was uniquely delicious as well. The service was great and it was a clean place with nearly no line. I highly recommend it!
Very tasty sandwiches made on healthy Belgian waffles. Piping hot Intelligentsia coffee and delicious truffle cheddar tater tots. Definitely worth a visit & I will be back.
Intriguing waffle sandwiches make a delightful breakfast or lunch. The waffles are light and just the right consistency, and the sandwich fillings are delicious. I had one with kimchi and corned beef, which was amazing.
When I look back on my meal at Bel 50 a tear rolls down my cheek. Not from sadness at the memory, but because this restaurant serves waffles that will blow your mind. Sweet or savory, everything is fantastic. I had the fried chicken waffle (jazzed up wiith a green apple salsa) and my friends and I shared several of the dessert waffles: creme brulee was my favorite! An absolute treat for your taste buds. It's located in a pretty cool area too!
The sweet waffle sandwiches are the standout here in my opinion. The chicken with honey mustard is also a great purchase.
