This one is a bit of a drive and certainly off the beaten path of Chicago records stores, but well worth it. They have a LOT of vinyl and good prices. Easy parking. Knowledgable staff for sure as this joints been around for a couple decades. The only real down sides are organization and condition. Selections are in somewhat of a order, but still pretty random. Piles of things to go through and no real sense of organization. The other issue is product condition. Many of these could be Goodwill and yard sale rejects. So if you don't mind condition and like to spend hours digging for gold, this one's for you.

This place is stacked high and wide with albums from all genres and eras. Seriously, I've never seen so many. The downfall is that it can make it hard to find what you are looking for, so make some time to scavenge through but also the staff are more than happy to help so just ask. You can also view what they have online and they will find it for you! Some rare and sought after albums here!

A very large and well organized selection of albums for everybody. Staff was very knowledgable and friendly! Good prices for albums compared to other stores as well as online! Highly recommend!!!!

I've been a customer for a few years now. I enjoyed shopping at Beverly Records until I had an unfortunate experience. I have never felt so insulted by a business. My father had some vintage home audio equipment that he wanted me to see if I could possibly sell. The home audio set up consisted of three devices: a Kenwood dual tape deck, a Pioneer amp, and a Mitsubishi tuner. Keep in mind this was all good vintage equipment in excellent condition. I called the store to see if they were accepting home audio equipment at the time, at which they were. So I decided to bring the audio equipment to the shop and I was informed by the gentleman at the front counter to speak with the owner about possibly doing business. The owner was extremely rude and quite unsettling. I gave him details of what I had and quite curious as to what I could possibly sell it for. He was in between helping a couple and seemingly checking to see what I had to offer. The owner comes back to me with 7. My response was \are you serious? For all of this?\ The owner walked away mumbling under his breath as if the moment never happened. Not only did I feel insulted, but I also felt as if he thought he could take an advantage of me because I am a young black gentleman. As a result of this, I will not return to this shop and neither will my friends or family. I hope the next individual to read this will take action and do the same.
