Never done a Google review before, but have to for Bob’s. After being closed because of COVID protocols, he’s back open! The man has an encyclopedic knowledge of all things jazz n blues. Ask him about something by the sub-genre, artist, or instrument (I’d bet by record label too), and he’ll give you some great suggestions. There’s not another record store in Chicago with this extensive of a selection of blues n jazz. Support local business to build up your record collection. It’s worth the trip.

I first frequented Bob's store in 1972. Truly a legendary man and a legendary place! Anyone even remotely interested in jazz or blues visiting Chicago MUST patronize here!
Amazing store! Really a heaven for all jazz lovers. I found CD's I didn't even think it was possible to find anymore. A true treasure!
I cannot recommend this place enough. Had an amazing time talking to Bob who is a wealth of knowledge and cool stories. As the name would suggest, they only sell blues and jazz. It's a small place but I spent a couple hours there. A deep selection and you can listen to any non sealed record before you buy
