What has happened to the pies? I’ve been ordering from Chiya Chai for three years, it’s one of our favourite places. We always order a pie, but tonight the pastry was completely different. Usually it’s very flavourful, melts in the mouth, but this time was weirdly chewy, soggy on the bottom, flavourless and basically inedible. Both my husband and I just ate the filling and left it on the side. Has there been a change in the recipe or was this just a one-off mistake? Would love to know, as if this is a permanent change I don’t think we’ll be ordering as often from now on. Giving 4 stars as everything else was pretty good as usual, and always has been until now.

Food was so damn good and neatly presented. Chai was good(modern version). Curry bowl is fabulous (must try). Everything was perfect quantity for an adult. Service was amazing as well. Would recommend this place if you love indian cuisine or want to try it for the first time.

Have eaten here a few times over the last 2 years and love it every time! can’t stop thinking about the wings! “Normal” sweetened option for the black pepper chai was a little too sweet for me, However it was dang good.
