The company I work for had the office staff volunteer here on yesterday. This is a one stop shop for anyone that is homeless. The meals seem well balanced, the food pantry is fantastic, as well as the Free Store, where you can get clothes, coats etc. It seems clean and the staff was fairly nice! We work in the pest control industry and didn’t see any bugs or mice during our visit, however, people have to understand that a homeless shelter has multiple people coming in and out, clothes that are donated, as well as sheets and everything else. Unfortunately they don’t have enough city/state/federal funding to fix all of the structural deficiencies and you can’t screen everyone at the door for bed bugs. I’d say overall this is a wonderful place and it’s better than nothing. Just an FYI, if you get linens/clothes from there dry them on high heat for 30 minutes, then wash them and dry them again. Kudos to the staff here!
