We hired Edmar to rebuild our parapet on our brick multi-family house during the summer of 2020, and they did an outstanding job! The brickwork looks exceptional and I can tell they really pay attention to detail. Their proposal for the project was the most professional and detailed one we received, and if I had any questions they were very quick to respond. If we have any masonry needs in the future, we will definitely be giving Edmar a call. We also hired them to install new windows, and they did a great job with those as well - they installed them quickly and professionally.
We hired Edmar to do tuckpointing on our entire red brick facade and touch up much needed spots around the rest of the house. Our house is from 1890 (think a typical brick Bucktown style vintage house). I got lots of quotes and Edmar was the most thorough, came highly recommended through community groups and their price was competitive. That being said, this was not a cheap job. They quoted 10,000 so we were nervous because that's a lot of dough for us. The guys that came out worked quickly and efficiently. Their English was limited but they assured us it was going to be great when they were done (I had a few questions during the work process). It came out great. The facade looks brand new. The job was super pro and they cleaned up well after the project. I have no hesitations recommending Edmar and would definitely use them again.
I was experiencing a leak through one of the front windows of my building, and worked with the Edmar team to completely rebuild the parapet walls from the window up, on the front of my 3-flat. The team was very thorough in their communications, and willingness to ensure the project was completed to my liking. The owner, Ed, was willing to communicate with me prior to the project, as well as answer questions I had during the rebuild.
By far the most professional and highly skilled company I've worked with. I had a chimney taken down and rebuilt from the roof line up. The most difficult part of the job was the pitch of the roof and how close my neighbors homes are next to mine, The crew skillfully put up scaffolding and took down a the damaged chimney and built a new chimney in the same day. My neighbors didn't even know they were there. Crews cleaned up afterwards and it also a pleasure working with Ed the owner in the contractual process. Top Notch Company! I will definitely use them again..
