I called Family Eye Physicians with a fairly urgent situation. I was not a patient there and they were able to get me in with a doctor literally within 2 hours. They were efficient, kind, and I felt took good care to explain to me what was going on with my eyes. Overall, it was a good experience.

I went to this place because I was glaucoma suspect. I paid 240 and did not get good answers. Dr. Dzubur was not sure and send me to a different doctor at the same office. He did not know for sure I have the disease and already was suggesting me a laser treatment. His personality was unprofessional and anxious. They said I have to pay 200 just to get a consultation from another doctor. So I asked the lady in front desk why is 200 and I already had my test results. She rudely answered that is her price. So if you do not have insurance do not come. I gave one star only for the student doctor and his lady assistant. They were great.

I was hesitant to come here because of a few negative reviews, but i'm so glad I went through with an appointment. My eye insurance through work recently changed, and I desperately needed new glasses. I thought this place would be better than somewhere like Walmart or America's Best, because my experience with those services has always been sub-par and just trying to get me in and out. That's not the case here. First off, they're taking COVID seriously. That was my concern based off a few other comments, but everyone kept their masks on, kept their distance, and everything was sanitized--from the pen I touched to fill out paperwork to the equipment used to the chair I sat on. Thank you for that. Secondly, the care and expertise was amazing. I was seen quickly and everyone was extremely accommodating and kind. The staff took their time answering my questions and concerns, even addressing some and explaining before I even got a chance to ask. They made sure I was getting the best service and check-up for my eyes and double checking that everything was correct. I'm so glad I found this place--it's been the best optical visit I've had in Chicago, and I've had them regularly for 20 years.

I was desperate looking for an eye dr who can help me with some issue I got in my eye. Was quickly and really specific in all of details about my issue. Relaxing me since I am really hypochondriac. Gave me the right medication so far feels better and good improvement. Waiting for the next days but feeling really relieve and much better about it. I recommend this place 100%

I made an appointment here several days ago using their online platform. I found this place because Dr. Haris Dzubur, among others at this practice, was listed as in-network for Aetna, my insurance company. I uploaded my insurance card to the portal and assumed all was well. Today, the day of my appointment, Aleya from the office called me and said that my insurance does not cover routine eye exams. I told her that didn't sound right and that I would ring her back. She said that would be fine. I called my insurance company and confirmed my coverage. The person from Aetna volunteered to speak with Aleya and did so. During this conversation, Aleya revealed that the Family Eye Physicians does not accept Aetna for routine eye exams. They should notify Aetna that they do not accept the plan anymore because the info Aetna has states that they do indeed accept the plan. In any case, the people at this office should not have waited until 5 hours before my appointment to contact me. It further disappoints me that upon visiting the insurance section of their website that there is no reference to commercial insurance or which plans they currently accept but rather an offer for a credit card that I'm guessing they are being paid to advertise. I recommend against this place, they seem to simply not have their act together and may have some scheme going on with credit cards...
