It was really nice for an indoor rock climbing expérience. It is very affordable with many different levels of complexity for beginners and experts. My only gripe is as a first timer who has no experience with rock climbing, the walk through was rushed and my trainer didn't seem to care if I understood how to scale up/down the wall or how to attach the rope to my harness. I fell down on my first attempt while descending and it would have been nice to be shown proper technique or some sort of demonstration.

I like First Ascent so far, my husband and I have been going for a couple weeks. We have done bouldering and I tried a few clip-ins. And so far that has been really fun! What I really don't like about it is that there is no gym daycare. We want to be able to go together (you can bring your kids with you) but it just doesn't work well at all. We don't want to have to alternate going nor do we want to pay for a babysitter each time we go so it looks like we will be canceling here soon. If they had even a couple hours a day, we would totally stay!

Although I did not injure myself, I saw much potential for injury that was not covered in the training video or by the unfriendly, rushed staff members. This was not a good experience for a first timer. Normally, I don't mind a rude staff member, but when it comes to safety, I think at least some patience is essential.

FA has decent rules to ensure limited occupancy and physical distance within the facility during the COVID period. Staffs are helpful and nice. However, the friends within my group are first timer here, so they have to go through the orientation. Each reservation during the pandemic is a 2-hour window, but the check-in & orientation took one hour. I would suggest shorten the duration for in-person orientation and give us the option to do the detailed orientation online with videos and quizzes maybe? Still they all enjoyed the session very much!
