This is a Chicago favorite even for the locals. The story of the break of the two cousins is crazy, especially since they’re right down the street from one another. When I used to eat polish sausages, this was the be-all place to be. The grilled onions and the polish were a perfect combination. The bread is oh so soft and mouth watering. Wow!!!! Always a line here and since they’re open 24-7, you don’t have to worry about not getting your polish-fix. The price is fair and it’s always a good thing to get a pop, as they call it, in addition to the FREE fries you get in the bag. You can see evidence of the goodness by the greasy oil stain on the bag. Lol. And the fries WERE AMAZING!!!!!! Right off the freeway, it’s a no-brainer. Just stop, grab one and go.

Pork chop good, but hard to eat with onions. Fries were exceptional. Polish is good. No seating, no tips...1 cans of pop.

This is a must stop whenever I'm in the area! You can get a Maxwell style polish sausage or pork chop sandwich 24 X 7 X 365, and you should. Prices are reasonable, and service is FAST.

Will, I haven't visit this back in the days Hot Dog n Polish street stand in a while. But the food was very well my travel to Roosevelt Rd n Dan Ryan. My hot dog was very freshly and the food server even asked how I wanted my food prepared. Easy on the mustard and lightly done onions. And the French fries were good today too. The food looked so good I got a Pork Chop sandwich to go as well. But I ate the hot dog first. And it was so good. Just as I I remembered back in the days of the Jew Town market stores on Halsted st.. Thank you Chicago for not removing that great food history. You can even Smell the onions cooking from off the expressway.
