I am very sadden by the announcement of this school to be closed. I am a graduate of this school c/o 1990 and I enjoy coming back home and visiting and donating money and time to the students as an alumni. I pray there is a solution and the school can remain open.

John Hope is an excellent school. Although I graduated in 2003, I'm sure it's still the best school ever. The teachers are very engaged in teaching the children the curriculum. They care about the children school and personal life. The classrooms are large and we'll maintained. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The principal Mr. Durr, is an amazing leader . He is a friend, leader, counselor, and father figure to every student enrolled in his school. At least to me. "I believe this n a place called Hope, where I can reach my goals. Where knowledge is as pure as gold in a place called Hope."

First I go to John Hope and It's not the students fault they are good kids they can do the work but most the teachers don't care enough to let us. The ones who do everyone is passing not because it's easy it's because we actually want to learn. If we had the same resources as everyone else we would not have a problem at all but we don't and there is nothing we can do about it.

I graduated from John Hope in 1985, it was scary at first but I was gald I could have a little independence. Two teachers stand out really Mrs.Battles, Mr. Jones the p.e teacher. Learn a lot got me ready for Tilden.
