My review has 3 parts: care, setting, and communication. 1. Care: excellent. The nurses and doctors are knowledgeable, compassionate, and helpful. 2. Setting: excellent. It's quiet and calm, way better than a hospital. The rooms are comfortable, and there's a common lounge/waiting area. 3. Communication: JourneyCare produces a 19-page booklet called \When Death is Near\ with very useful information. It would have been good if they had handed us this booklet when we walked in, rather than two days later. So ask for it right away. Also, we found out rather late that we would have four hours to remove the body after the time of death. They should have told us this when we walked in. In hindsight, it's clear that we should have been thinking about this earlier, but we were naive. Be prepared. Bottom line: excellent, highly recommended if you need hospice outside the home.

My dad spent the last 25 hours of his life at the facility at Rush. We are forever grateful for the nurse Cheryl who came to my parents' home to care for my dad and recognized that he needed to be moved to the Rush location in order to get his pain under control. It was the middle of the night and Cheryl stayed with us until the ambulance arrived to transport him; my mom and I followed behind. When we arrived a little after midnight, Anna the nurse on duty was so comforting, informative, and attentive. Thank you to Cheryl, Anna, and team for the care you provided to my father in his final days.

The people that work here are great! to say the least!!!! Daniel...Ruth..Nikki are awesome. my grandmother passed away at this facility and i could not be happier with the care that they provided to her. i stayed at this placed day and night and they provided 24 hour care with no questions asked. and i felt the love.
