Le Colonial Chicago Reviews | Rating 4,5 out of 5 stars (5 reviews)

Le Colonial Chicago is located in Chicago, United States on 57 E Oak St. Le Colonial Chicago is rated 4.5 out of 5 in the category bar in United States. Le Colonial is Chicago's noted upscale French-Vietnamese restaurant which vividly recaptures the beauty, romance and spirit of French colonial Southeast Asia from the 1920s. Le Colonial is situated in the heart of Chicago's esteemed Gold Coast in a charming two-story, vintage rowhouse, located at 937 North Rush Street. The restaurant features a main dining room on the first floor and a bar, lounge and all-season terrace overlooking Rush Street on the second floor- both of which feature savory, authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Renowned for our private dining packages, to host an event at Le Colonial is to step into another time and another place. Our two-story restaurant, designed by Greg Jordan, has been said to delight and impress at once. Featuring louvered wall panels, tile floors and vintage Vietnamese black and white photographs; ours is the perfect space for both business and pleasure gatherings and an ideal setting for entertaining your guests and/or clients.

Elegant, prompt, excellent service and delicious food. I have been disappointed in the costs and services provided since Covid ran rampant. Some restaurants treat you as if they're doing you a favor while offering basic accommodations such as plastic ware, Styrofoam and bad service. Other restaurants charge between 150 and 250 minimum for a 2 hour slot to sit in a dome outside. Le Colonel treated us as valued guests in a well ventilated yet surprisingly warm environment. The food was impressive and the libations were a treat, I'd definitely revisit!

Super cute place with a great ambiance! Also located in a great area. The pho (and drinks) are absolutely delicious! However, certain items on the menu should not be as expensive given the quality and quantity. The cold spring rolls are 15 for 3 full size spring rolls that are comprised of: unseasoned shrimp, rice noodles, bean sprouts, lettuce, and rice paper. Other than that, would definitely recommend when craving pho or a nice cocktail with a great ambiance.

I LOVE this restaurant from courteous elegant classy service to GREAT tasty light food to impeccable service! The restaurant is just a beauty from their crew food and sanitary measures taken. I would definitely go anytime back again over and over. It is rare to find very well five star service nowadays and this restaurant got it all!! It is a MUST to try and you will never regret it!! They made our dating anniversary perfect. From how they serve you, to each course and every drink to the change of the plates and from where they're serve what side etc..they got it all!!

Food and drinks as always were fantastic. However, the terrace in the previous location was much more quiet and intimate. Here it was loud and less romantic. Prices have also gone up, though it's been 2 years since our last visit, so not surprising. Next anniversary, might go elsewhere.
