I Remember As A Little Girl About The Age Of 6 Back In 1945 When My Dad Was Over Seas In The Army , We Couldn't Find A Place To Live , And The Pacific Garden Rescue Mission Was Kind Enough To Put Us Up For Almost 3 Weeks While We Searched For A Place To Live . There Was Always Services Everynight , And I Remember The Men From The Streets Of Chicago Coming In To Sit And Listen About God , And Then Later We Ate And Then Retired. We Do The Same Thing Today At Our Churches We Listen About God Then We Eat , Just As We Should Pray Then Eat . We Should Be Grateful For What We Get In Life Food And A Clean Bed Even If It Leans Hearing About God First. So Many People Do Not Realize That If It Wasn't For God We Would Not Get The Things In Life That He So Graciously Gives. Pacific Garden Rescue Mission REMAINS A Beautiful Memory In My Mind Today And How They Helped Myself And A Very Sick Mother In The Year Of 1945. They Are Indebted To Helping Others ( Especially The Homeless ) And No One May Not See The Results Of What They Are Doing , But God Does . I Cannot Thank These People Enough For Their Blessings In My Life As A Child . Prayers For The Work They Do And The Lives They Touch . God Bless You . I have been here since end of September 2019 and things were different in the beginning and now I'm doing just fine:) waiting on my husband to be to come get me and go visit my mom for the Christmas holiday:)
