RefugeeOne Reviews | Rating 1 out of 5 stars (5 reviews)

RefugeeOne is located in Chicago, United States on 5705 N Lincoln Ave. RefugeeOne is rated 1 out of 5 in the category immigration & naturalization service in United States. Founded in 1982 and incorporated as an independent not-for-profit in 1992, RefugeeOne is a refugee resettlement agency that provides a full range of services to refugees resettled in the Chicago area. Our primary focus is to assist the refugee in becoming an independent, self-supporting member of the new community as soon as possible. Every year, RefugeeOne assists approximately 2,500 refugees of all ages, ethnic groups, faiths and backgrounds to find housing, learn the English language, acclimate to American culture, develop computer and job readiness skills, secure employment, obtain medical and other care, apply for citizenship, and develop overall family strengthening skills. RefugeeOne’s programs are made possible through the dedicated efforts of our staff members – many of whom were refugees themselves – and approximately 250 volunteers. While many of our programs and services are delivered at our main offices in Uptown in Chicago, we have off-site locations throughout the north side of Chicago and in various suburbs where our programs for youth, women, and seniors are held.

Stay away from this office ! I called to ask some questions about apply the citizenships and the guy was yelling at me on the phone! He said if I don’t listen to him, he not gonna apply Citizenship for me! How do you say yourself work for refugee office? If you don’t have good manners you shouldn’t be work at refugee offices!

They are fake people who are walking around the Chicago and saying that we help refugees as a refugee I didn’t take any help, my case worker was such a DUDE. They are making money buy over using refugees. This place is such a waste of time and absolutely pointless. The government has to shut down this place ASAP. Stuff are rude and disrespectful.

I'd never heard of this organization until recently when Refugee One placed a client in my neighborhood. The man has major issues, naturally. But, he is being verbally abused and no one from the organization send to care. I'm guessing they think, \We've placed him in housing. What more can we do?\ I wish they would ask me or any of his neighbors. We have ideas. I'm thinking he'll eventually be beaten down to the point he calls himself a refugee of Refugee One. So sad.
