This was so beautiful. The architecture of this city is quite impressive and this tours allows you to appreciate it in detail. The guide is really cool also and knowledgeable also.

Friendly Staff and Docent tour guide. Quick and efficient check in. We witnessed an employee sanitize Boat seating & high touch areas before boarding. All employees wore masks. Docent mixed Chicago history, anecdotal human interest stories, architecture details into the tour talk. Very engaging! Free soft drinks & water. A relaxing journey along the downtown Chicago River branches. One suggestion is for the Docent guide to engage with the children on board !

This tour was a fantastic way to see so many parts of the city! The guide was incredibly knowledgeable and very well prepared for the tour. It really is a different view from the water and we enjoyed our time well. It was a bit of a gloomy day when we went, but we still got some great photos. The company is requiring masks and even instructs those who are drinking (complementary sodas and water, cocktails for purchase) to remove their mask only while actively drinking and then to replace it. We had a great experience with this company, they are quick to respond and were able to change our tour time effortlessly.

Great tour of the Chicago River which I have wanted to go on for years. However I was upset as the rules were clearly stated after purchasing our tickets that masks would be required. Masks were offered upon boarding the boat which was a nice gesture. However, since they sell drinks on board, the young couple in front of my adult daughter and I thought just having a drink in their hand enabled them to take off their masks and keep them off. I was concerned as it was a windy day and since they were in the row in front of us, we weren’t protected if they were infected with the coronavirus since any germs were being blown directly in our path. I noticed one young male boat employee who just he ignored this couple not abiding by the required masking rules (despite ALL others keeping their masks on even after taking a quick sip of water, etc). Only after this same employee saw me pointing to the couple did he walk over and ask them to put their masks on. And yes, minutes later, the young couple started drinking from their water bottles and kept their masks on their chins. The employee did not make any attempt to further correct this behavior which was against the boat”s rules for Pandemic river cruises. So if you are immunocompromised like I am, you may want to take steps to make sure the boat”s crew ensures mask rules will be followed by all (or sit in the first row of seats)! I do think the tour guide was one of the best I have had on a CAC tour. She knew so many facts about the buildings on the river and didn’t once look at her note cards.

Great tour if you are interested in learning about the history of Chicago architecture. Our guide was really nice old guy and he was funny as well, through jokes here and there to make things more interesting.
