Sam is the man!! I have been taking lessons from Sam for a little over a year now, and I always look forward to his lessons. He truly caters his lessons to each individual he teaches, and I have learned so much from him, even from the first lesson I took with him. He empowers his students to feel capable of expressing themselves through music, and he is an incredibly talented musician himself. I highly recommend Sam, and I would not only consider him a teacher, but a mentor and friend!

I've been playing the drums for over forty years without any formal training. Recently I thought I would like to get some drum instruction, being a bit older I was not sure the best way to go about it. So I started to do a lot of searching and listening and found a lot of different drum teachers around chicago. Then I came across sam barsi, at first I was still a little hesitant about it, but after several lessons with sam my playing has improved he really is tuned in to what I need the most. Sam is such a great drum instructor! I am an adult - who decided to take up the drums. One of my major concerns was how my brain would be able to pick up something new. Sam set me at ease immediately. It has now been 6 months learning from Sam, and I look forward to each lesson. I like how easy he is to talk to, how he takes his time with me, and is never in a rush. I love how he can address where I lack skill, and can easily reset my drumming techniques. I appreciate his straight forward pricing, his \tailored to me\ lesson approach, and his new space he is in (same building - larger room). Location is easy to get to - and a parking lot is available. I say - Go For it - You wont regret it!
