I used to think buying high-end suits from Nordstrom was the way to go, but Eddie at Secret Stitch helps me choose every part of the suit from higher quality materials then tailors everything to fit like a glove! I've never gotten so many compliments on a sport coat or suit as I have while wearing the ones from Secret Stitch just a couple of times. Not only do the clothes look great, but they feel great too - I'm hooked!
Eddie was suggested to me a couple years ago as an option for custom shirts for my groomsmen and my jacket. What started as a let me check him out has turned into a client for life. His attention to detail and professionalism is second to none.

Without sounding like a spikes person for Secret Stitch this men’s custom clothing company is off the charts. Eddie simply gets it right and makes you not only feel like a billion dollars makes you look it as well too. I first met Eddie a handful of years ago getting a custom suit for a wedding. Since then I have never stepped foot into a Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, etc for a suit. Nothing out there matches the quality of fabrics, the fit, the look, and the swag cool custom factor. This goes for his overcoats, and shirts as well. If you can image it - he can make it happen. What’s is even better if you can’t image it he will make something for you that is incredible! I constantly get asked where is my suit(s) from and I’m proud to say Secret Stitch. Plus the level of service is off the charts. If you haven’t had a custom suit, shirt, slacks, blazers, sport coats, etc. you are missing out on the look and style you deserve if you ask me.
I recently purchased from Secret Stitch and was highly impressed. There are three reasons why I'm giving Secret Stitch such a high rating. First is the unparalleled customer service. It started with my first consultation. Eddie brought me in, explained how the process would go, how he works, where the clothing is sourced, the prices, and the timeline. Very comprehensive, which I liked due to how much money I'd be spending. The process was consultative, without what I felt to be the high pressure sales tactics I've seen at other bespoke tailors. Second was the high quality of the product. All the garments came in as expected. The fabrics were soft and breathable. I've been able to wear them in different temps and settings, from Underground or Trophy Room to Kirkwood or High Line. The dark colors are dark and the light ones pop. Finally, Eddie really makes it all come together. You can tell he's had years of experience, wants the best fit for his clients, and what I think is unique about him is he is still in tune with style. The other tailors I've used have been older guys and I couldn't help but to feel that what they were showing me would have killed 5 to 10 years ago. Eddie was able to point out what would and wouldn't work and I was confident trusting his opinion. He wasn't afraid to tell me he didn't think something would work just because I was paying him. I've worn my Secret Stitch clothes out a few times now and I've gotten compliments on the clothes, which I love. It's definitely been worth the purchase. I'll be back and you should go.
As a guy who bought suits off the rack I cant say enough on how great it feels to be in a custom suit. The quality is outstanding and Eddie's attention to detail is what sets him apart.
Eddie always goes the extra mile to get the fit exactly right and he's extremely conscientious about the small details that make a garment something special. Secret Stitch is by far the best place in Chicago for high-quality tailored men's clothing.
