It’s a nice Japanese/Asian restaurant. Place was quite and comfy on Thursday night and we enjoyed attentive and unobtrusive service. The interior is minimalistic, yet you feel the quality of the materials and effort being made. Combined with the lounge music and light food - it’s the right place to enjoy the conversation and company. Rolls were not the best I had before, but it a taste thing...

We came in last night after 8:30PM and still got great service from our server Tuk. The guys that work the sushi bar are amazing and always do some heavy lifting. Ask about the secret Chinese menu. They been holding out on me!
We order from Shine often and the people are very friendly. It is a good price point for good sushi. I wouldn’t say it’s the best sushi in the area, but for a casual night when I’m craving sushi, this is our neighborhood go-to. We dine in on the patio and also order take out often.
The place is very relax and the atmosphere is delicate.The service is wonderful very polite and respectful. the price is regular is not expensive. The food is good for me, I ate the same food in other country and this restaurant it’s not bad. But I recommend for me try the fried rice all the combination is excellent, and 1 plate for two is good because is too much for one person before may you try appetizer.
Great price for the quality you get - there's some really creative rolls here. Definitely worth a try!
Went here with my ex and her parents to celebrate 2020 Chinese new year. It has been almost a year and I really miss those days. A place very meaningful to me and will definitely revisit if got the chance.
Great Chinese food and great service! All dishes are authentic. The Shanghai smoky fish, fried rice cake, lotus root with sticky rice are so amazing!
Modest quality for immodest price... The dishes are tasty but I am in no way sold on the quality/price. There are a good number of places in Chicago you could spend the same amount for a more pleasant experience.
