Because of Covid they have had to adjust to conduct business safely for the cuatomers. The Downtown location is now permanently closed. Currently conducting all tranactions via mail. No physical contact. Proces is: You ship them your shoes, they provide estimate, you pay, they do repair, then ship to your home. They repaired 2 pair of my shoes and did a great job.

They took 2 months to clean and return the shoes I sent them, and only answered my emails after I complained to them on Twitter. They did such a bad job cleaning 1 out of 3 pairs that I had to take it to a local cobbler and have it redone, and they refused to refund me. All the terrible reviews from the last 6 months are totally true.

Mr. Lee is the only shoe repair person that I trust in the whole city. He's always friendly, honest, and he can fix practically everything from shoes to purses. He's always dedicated to his work and my shoes always come back with flawless craftsmanship. You can't go wrong with him!

I was very excited about the \mail in\ feature they offer and sent in 2 expensive pairs of boots for repair. The first came back fine, although not completed, but the second was totally ruined! I had requested the toe box stretched and the shoes cleaned. They came back with the heal stretched and a major crease on both shoes, making them uncomfortable and ugly. They also were returned a different color. It seemed like they used dirty brushes to clean the suede and my light-tan shoes came back brown. I complained and expected their customer service to remedy the problem. Instead I got back a response that the problems were my fault, and that I was wrong. It was infuriating to say the least. I would not recommend this service to anyone. There are enough shoe repair stores and it is important to have a relationship with the person repairing your shoes. The service is not worth the headache.

Shoe Drop is simply THE BEST! I used to live on Wall Street which is how I started going to Shoe Drop shoe repair, and I now moved uptown and still cannot trust ANYONE to touch my shoes if it's not at Shoe Drop. I will go the extra mile for him to keep my very special shoe collection looking as beautiful as new! Thank you Shoe Drop!!
