Normally, I don't write reviews but these guys were pretty bad so I have to share our experience. We moved from Madison, WI to Charlotte, NC. The first part of the move went well, the guys who picked up our stuff were hardworking and did a good job packing and moving our things. After that, it was a train wreck. First, we were told we'd get a 24 hour notice when delivery was scheduled. We'd asked to have a little more notice to get off time from work. We were told we'd get 48 hour notice... we didn't even get a 24 hour notice. The driver \texted\ us at 5pm on a Wednesday to inform us he'd be arriving between 10am and 2pm the next day. After he arrived, we were told he was waiting on his crew that were having \car troubles.\ Only one guy finally showed up and we waited an hour and half for them just to get started. The driver obviously worked for Smooth Relocation and seemed his helper was just a local subcontractor. These two guys did not care about our property. It was just the 2 of them and they rushed through the move and our property was damaged. The boxes are beat up and items are scratched. We read some negative reviews prior to hiring this company and just dismissed them as people being petty. They weren't being petty.If you want your things damaged or like not being told the truth.... Smooth Relocation is the company to got with.

Last weekend I moved my home from IL to GA. I’d asked some friends who had also recently relocated their house and Smooth Relocation vanlines was recommended by them. They were extremely easy to deal with before the move and answered all my queries effectively and provided a full detailed breakdown of the costs and what was included in the service. I had chosen the moving including packing option and also they had to provide packing materials. The team arrived 30 minute early at the moving day and straight way started working. They packed up my belongings very quickly and loaded them without causing any harm. The team was extremely friendly, polite and efficient. We just left them to it and they finished the whole process without any fault. What a great company. Highly recommended.
All the moving companies we have hired in the past couldn’t even come close to the efficiency levels of Smooth Relocation vanlines. Starting from the moment I called them till they made the delivery, everything was just spot on. I was impressed with their punctuality. We have never had movers arriving on time in the past. The movers were very creative while packing our valuables. Even the furniture was wrapped in shrinking tape. They delivered on time and my valuables traveled very safely. People should always hire this company only.
I moved from Wisconsin to NY. Good service. I didn't have to lift a finger. Reasonably priced I suppose for regular moves. I had to pay for the minimum 300 cubic feet and I didn't have that much stuff, but still reasonable. Polite, quick in and out, focused on their work. I would recommend for sure.
One of the worst moving experiences EVER !!! Not because they broke a chair, a TV stand and a whole box full of fragile items; but because after opening a suitcase full of stuff, I noticed there's MOLD all over the clothes!!! White clothes showed big yellow stains which literally smelled like pee... CAN'T BELIEVE IT! Some of the clothes were new and expensive ones that I had not even put on once! I had to throw away a lot of them because of the extent of damage. WHAT ON EARTH DID YOU DO TO A SUITCASE TO CAUSE MOLD IN IT????!!!
