A true hidden gem. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. First, we arrived without reservations during restaurant week. They seated us right away anyway. We even got to sit at the chefs table! We ordered our choices for each course up front. Our server, Kamma, timed every course perfectly! He accidentally sent mussels instead of snails for our second course. It was a perfectly acceptable mistake since they let us keep the mussels and the snails arrived only a moment later. We ordered a fish and steak entree. The steak was pretty bland. The fish was the real star. It was a beautiful night out with spectacular service, delicious food and wine.

This review was for a visit to the Blanchard during Restaurant Week 2017. The menu was prix fixe without the option to order off of the regular menu. Given the limited options and because of the normally good ratings received, I anticipated a great meal with precise execution. However, the dinner service was slow, and it definitely seemed like the chefs/cooks were just getting dishes out. Frites were soggy, and flavors were just dull as if they weren't adequately seasoned. Overall, I don't expect the best meal during Restaurant Week, but I do expect something worth the price. I'm largely unmotivated to go back here given the breadth of other amazing restaurants in the city.

Food was imaginative, creative and delicious. I've never had fish so hot, I couldn't eat it right away. Decor is really nice as well, not sitting on top of people around you which is nice. Can't wait to sit outside this summer!
WOW the FOOD was AMAZING! I had the scallop for an appetizer - TO DIE FOR! I could have had 2 more as my meal! The next time I go I just might! My husband had the Petite Veggies for his appetizer. Very nice and flavorful. The He had the King Crab and I had the Lamb and Belly entrees. I mean, words cannot describe the quality of this amazing meal. The Drinks are reallyt something you don't see everywhere. The Moscow Mule was fun but the Elderflower gin cocktail is a MUST! Also the staff was unreal. Stephen and Shane were impeccable. A flawless meal with flawless service. THANK YOU!
Attended dinner with 2 other couples. All the food was delicious and well presented. The service was good but our waiter did not pour all of our sauterne we paid for. The bottle was 85.00 for a 375ml. I watched as the server poured most of the bottle but did not empty it which I believed he was reserving since he put it back in the bus area. When I asked to see the bottle he said he threw it away. I asked to see the bottle and watched as he walked to the bar and brought out a empty bottle. I got up and walked to the bus area and there was our bottle with a little remaining on the shelf. I worked in a nice restaurant when I was in college so I get having an after shift drink when someone leaves something behind but this was not the case.
Food is incredible. We had some odd problems with service,... I'm hoping it was our waiter's first day or something? We ended up having a bunch of different people come to our table and none of them communicated with each other so it was a lot of 'double deliveries' and many mix ups, but everyone there was really pretty nice. I'd definitely go there again for the food and trust that they've gotten their front-of-the house issues resolved.
