I first discovered Steve when the quarantine first started. I was in desperate need of a barber and did thorough research and found him. I completely admire how he’s so passionate in his craft and it shows. Every time I get my haircut by Steve, it looks amazing. I also get so many compliments. I also respect how he’s observant and listens to client requests. The shop is extremely clean and has a relaxing chill vibe. Overall, I would recommend him to anyone in need of a haircut.

Peace. I'm not a man that goes around tearing down minority businesses. But this guy has a long way to go. I think he is more concerned with branding than he is with actual skill and customer service. I'm very specific with what I want because I know how I want to look. I have no problem conveying that to someone. I'm not pushy or aggressive. I'm assertive and courteous. But Steve doesn't know how to listen. He took a full face and knocked too much hair off. I wanted my beard and my soul patch(the hair under the lip) to connect in a double pyramid and he had that all wrong. He trimmed off too much of my beard when I asked him if he could trim it instead of shape it. I had a very specific conversation with him about the difference. He's all hype and I'm not coming back and I don't recommend him at this time.

Three words: BLACK BARBER EXCELLENCE I am beyond impressed at how great a barber Steve is. He has a passion and drive to help you get the drip you need! Here are three reasons why you need to book your appointment ASAP. 1) Steve has years of knowledge and experience so knows exactly what he is doing! I have been growing my hair for 4 years and I was EXTREMELY nervous to cut any of it. After many nights of contemplating, I finally decided to get an undercut but I had no idea how high or what style to get. After Steve and I talked about my hair as well as showing him pictures, we decided to start low and go from there. 2) He helps you think about that next level! He gave me pointers on different ways to style my hair (a tight bun, natural curls, etc.) and how it can shape my identity differently. I have struggled with what to do with my hair now that it has grown and Steve was able to think on a deeper level about how important my hair was. We added patterns in the cut to express my hair growth experience. 3) He simply cares for his clients - no explanation needed. I will now be recommending all my friends to book an appointment for him because we all deserve that exec cut and Steve is exactly that barber to get you there.

I had a great experience. This young man knows what he is doing. My hair looks great and I will definitely come back when it grows out. I recommend this barber shop

Steve is definitely the best barber in Chicago. Has master all different texture of hair. Highly recommend he provides top notch service.
