I decided to contact Tara after taking my initial GMAT because I needed to brush up on some math concepts that I was struggling with. After working with him for 5-6 weeks and retaking the GMAT two months later, I was able to increase my score by 100 points to a 710! He was extremely helpful in explaining the core concepts and shortcuts of the quantitative section. I would absolutely recommend Tara to anyone for GMAT or other standardized test prep!

I contacted Tara after deciding I wanted to retake the GMAT exam. Already with a strong quantitative reasoning foundation, I wanted someone who could help me break some of my bad brute force habits and think more critically. Tara was just the one! He is so knowledgeable and really understands how the GMAT works. I worked with him for 5 weeks leading up to my retake and in my 7 sessions, Tara provided me with many tips and tricks that were crucial to helping me reach my goal. Tara's technology and resources made virtual sessions just as effective as if the sessions were in-person. I would recommend Tara to anyone who wants to improve their Quant section, even if just by one point. Although he is specifically a Quant tutor, Tara will also provide you with tips for Verbal self-study and test day success. He is truly world-class and I could not have achieved a 740 without his help!

I had a fantastic and very successful experience working with Tara in my preparation for the GMAT. I had taken the Veritas Prep course before and had been studying for 4 months before I started seeing Tara. My best live GMAT score at the time was 610. I had been scoring 660 on practice tests consistently but on test day I couldn't seem to put it all together. . so after a collapse on my 3rd GMAT exam I decided I needed to make a change. I started researching GMAT tutors and Tara stood out in particular so I reached out and he was very helpful/prompt in responding. I worked with Tara multiple times over a 2 week period in preparation for another swing at the GMAT. There were a lot of holes/gaps in my quant capabilities, which is why my scores were fluctuating so much. . so working with Tara over those 2 weeks helped me fill in those gaps, improve my floor, and greatly increase my confidence going into test day. I not only increased my floor with Tara, but he helped explain in very fine detail how to go about solving some of the far more challenging problems as well - things I had never really considered prior. Additionally, he does a great job with general test taking/timing strategies, as well as teaching & explaining the core math skills required to excel on the GMAT. Test day #4 finally arrived and I was the most confident I felt going into any exam, and was ecstatic to see that I scored a 720!! Tara was instrumental in my 110 point improvement and for anyone serious about excelling on the GMAT and getting into a top tier business school, Tara is an easy choice.

Tara is an incredibly accommodating and talented quantitative tutor. While I was preparing with him, I was also traveling internationally for work, and he was able to accommodate the difficult time zone challenges and provide a tailored tutoring service. All of our interaction was virtual, which was, overall, a pretty seamless experience (good sign for a post-COVID world now). Before I met with Tara, I had been studying for the GMAT and had felt that I somewhat hit my cap on the quant side, but a few sessions with Tara, and a lot of practice with his techniques and I was able to hit my Quant target. I'm thankful for his help and guidance.

Update: I was accepted into both Wharton and Columbia Executive MBA programs. Thank you Tara! I've always self-studied for exams (CFA, CPA) but needed a more efficient and effective way to review and relearn quant for my executive assessment (EA). Tara was my secret weapon. He taught me how to approach problems quickly and answer them correctly under time pressure (including eliminating answer choices, making best estimates, identifying mathematical shortcuts, etc.) Within a mere week under his guidance, I improved my quant score by two points! While Tara is more than qualified as a GMAT/GRE/EA tutor based on his impressive resume, he has the ability to simplify and break down concepts for people with various skill levels and backgrounds. I cannot recommend him more highly enough, and would encourage everyone interested in improving their scores to seek him out for a consultation.
