I love this place. It’s starts off with the standard Chicago trinkets. But as move to the middle and back of the shop you discover all these new cool things, such as the artwork. The artwork was beautiful, I bought three pieces from them as gifts to friends. I wanted to get the big oil painting in the way back, but it was way out of my price range, but still gorgeous.

I wish I could get here as often as I used to. Transistor was on my weekend Andersonville treks’ before the pandemic. I like the original local art they carry and the owner is very hands on and even works all aspects of the shop and sales. A must on any Andersonville shopping trip.

I have visited this shop several times and it always has a great selection of merchandise. Lots of products showcasing Chicago artists that make great gifts or something new for your home. Check out the unique greeting cards for when you need to put a pen to paper. Stop shopping online and check out this place because you won’t regret it. Service is friendly and knowledgeable too.

Great shop with a mix of gifty items and tourist-friendly Chicago mementos up front but as one moves in, there’s original art, fine art prints, photography, posters, LPs & books of varying styles to discover. Friendly staff. Don’t pass it up.
