Tru aims for perfection and comes pretty close. We dined here on a busy Saturday night. First, the room is beautiful and you are immediately made to feel welcome. My wife and I had the 11 course "Experience" with wine pairings. Most of the courses were truly outstanding and the rest were extremely good. The pacing of the food was always almost perfect and unlike some tasting menus the portions were not too large. The service was almost always spot on. To be hones we did have a couple of glitches in the service, but when they were brought to the attention of management, they were extremely apologetic and committed to making things right, which was done. Every restaurant makes mistakes. The real test of a great establishment is how they deal with them and Tru met the test. We would recommend Tru without hesitation to anyone who wants an exceptional dining experience.

Great experience! Be sure to bring a coat as guys are required to wear one, but if you forgot as I did, they have one waiting for you. Servers are synchronized while serving your table which is pretty entertaining. Food is really good as well! My wife and I both ordered the chefs menu and did not regret it.

I've been to Tru 3 times. It was amazing the first time 8 yrs ago. It has not been as good the last few times. The food is good, it's just not great in my opinion. The service is a bit over the top/dramatic.

Amazing food. Amazing presentation. Overall, an excellent experience. I would definitely recommend. But you must go in knowing that is very very expensive - go in for the experience, savor the food. I wish the restaurant was a lot smaller and more intimate but good for those who want their space. I also wish they would do away with their dress code. Fancy clothes and jacket are not necessary to enjoy the incredible food and wine.

I’ve been to Tru four times over a period of seven years, and I think it is the most variable restaurant I’ve ver been to. One time I’ll have a three Michelin star experience, the next I can’t imagine what they were thinking. But let's focus on the good. On my first visit, every aspect of the food and service was perfect. And a couple years after that we returned to have one of the most visually stunning meals I’ve had anywhere, accompanied by perfect (and not stiff) service.
