Love the modern French vibes of Vanille. I've never had anything negative to say about their pastries and cakes (other than they're so delicious I can eat half a cake in one sitting). Classical flavor combinations executed to near perfection.

My daughter wanted a unicorn cake for her birthday, last minute. It was simple to order online--she chose the strawberry custard filling. The cake and filling were light without being too sweet. Usually, I'm not a fan of fondant because it's too sweet for me. The frosting on this cake was light like a dense whipped cream. Of course, my daughter loved the edible horn and ears, covered with gold dust. I'm now a fan; I'm planning to try their other baked goods.
After spending 3 weeks in London, I wanted to bring my friend to afternoon tea. This place outshined London! Private setting with a room to ourselves, 3 courses (2nd being the tea tower) and unlimited tea. The selection of tea was amazing and each one we tried was flavorful without any sugar/milk. The food was absolutely mouth watering and we were both blown away with every bite. The top plate is cut out in the picture but had 4 macaroons. Our server was amazing and so kind; she ensured our experience was perfect. Would highly recommend.
This place makes you want to say give me on of everything in here! The staff is nice and knowledgeable when it comes to making recommendations. I will definitely be returning soon
The out door sitting was beautiful. But the pastries were ridiculously expensive for this quality. The price and quality doesn’t match at all!!! I think they will charge you for the gold on top. Please remove the gold and improve the quality!! This place used to have some of the best pastries in Chicago. I don’t know what happened to them. The design was good but the taste and texture revealed they weren’t fresh. We got the passion fruit tart and The Royal. The royal was too sweet and dense and seemed more like a low quality pastries that you may find in a grocery store rather that a fine pastries from a famous bakery. The passion fruit tart was better but you could feel the egg yolk smell in the custard and the raspberries were rotten. Very disappointed!
