An absolutely amazing experience. The staff at Chippewa Landing was on point, from start to the time I landed. They helped with my equipment and made the trip excellent. The views on the river were perfect! I highly recommend taking the time to drive and paddle down the river.

I've been coming to Chippewa Landing for our annual family canoe trip since I was 2 months old! This is a perfect gem in Northern Michigan. The staff is friendly and fun, and the views are gorgeous. The river is peaceful and full of life. I couldn't be happier with this being our annual destination!

Nice place. Campsites are spacious and well maintained. Very friendly and helpful staff. There is a little shop, but don't expect food or many supplies. Make sure you bring the supplies and food you need. I had my own kayaks, others in our group rented some. The rentals were a little older but well maintained. They loaded my personal kayak and gear along with the rentals and took us all to the drop off point. They did charge a fee to take my personal kayak. We chose to do the 65 River mile trip over a period of three days. We spent about 5 hours on the water all three days keeping a decent pace. Beautiful area, and abundant wildlife. If you do overnight trips, be prepared. Make sure everything is waterproof. If you're in a kayak your going to get wet. All in all, it was a blast, will definitely be making it a yearly trip!

We booked a 3.5 hour kayak trip with this company planning to use our own kayaks over the July 4, 2020 holiday weekend. The customer service we encountered was top notch from beginning to end. We were greeted nicely, our boats were loaded up quickly, and we were transported to the launch in a timely fashion despite the busy weekend. The river itself was clean, beautiful, and refreshing. There was a nice 3-4 mile an hour current that allowed us to float gently down the river. There were many places to stop to rest, swim, or take pictures. The landing back at Chippewa was the best I have seen with a gravel bottom. The staff helped us out of our kayaks. We are already planning our trip back. Thanks for helping us enjoy our weekend!

Great place, fun trip. River is fantastic. Horse flys are stupid crazy. Be prepared for those. We did the shortest trip with 2 canoes and a kayak. Staff was very efficient, dropped us off. All went seamless. Thank you!
