Although the tiki selections in Cincinnati continue to grow, Japp's has been doing tiki nights for years. Even if it's not tiki night, the mixologists at this spot are some of the most talented in Cincinnati. There's a reason it's ranked on national lists as being among the best bars in America. You should check it out yourself.
There is NO place in our city where I feel more welcomed, safe and comfortable. Molly and Jen are awesome hosts and make incredible cocktails!
Anyone can make a cocktail (I make several awesome concoctions) Molly is next,next,next level. Check her out. You will leave happy( and probably a little buzzed)
I stopped here with my husband after dinner last night for a cocktail. I had been to Japp's once before and was hoping that Molly would still be behind the bar. She was not there but Jeremy took very good care of us. We each had a cocktail off of their specialty board. I ordered the Bad Girls drink and my husband ordered a Pimm's cup. My drink was too dry to my liking and so I switched with my husband. I enjoyed the Pimm's very much. As there were not a lot of customers last night Jeremy gave us extra attention. We will be traveling to Italy later this year and he gave us a lesson on Italian liqueurs. I really love the ambiance of this old wig store. We were told that renovations will be happening very soon. I am sure that the original details will still be in place due to Molly's love of history but the rest of the bar will be even nicer.
