Food was good. Service was extremely slow. It took over an hour to receive our food. Portions were large. Food arrived at our table hot. Two people with dinner, an appetizer, and one drink each was 70 after tip. 4 stars if service was quicker.

This probably the best spot for authentic German and Hungarian food around Cincinnati. I’ve been multiple times, but my last experience was not the best. Prices are fair and we didn’t have to wait to be seated. We started with the “choose 3” appetizer and it was decent. Our choices were pork cracklings, a potato pancake, and beer cheese with a pretzel. I was a little surprised they only served one soft pretzel with the order and a rather large portion of cracklings. Potato pancake was dense and crispy on the outside—good in my opinion! We had to send the first one back because of a hair unfortunately. The waitress was really nice and replaced it for us. Our dinner did take some time to come out, but if you’re choosing to dine out this should be expected. Especially when dishes are homemade. My group ordered a variety of items from the menu but I chose the Cobb salad. I wasn’t feeling the best and wanted something on the lighter side. It was decent with nice pieces of turkey, fresh lettuce, tomatoes, blue cheese, hard boiled egg, and a red wine vinaigrette. It was bland in my opinion but I should have gone with something more true to the restaurant’s style. I’ve had the goulash before and it’s delicious! My friend’s sage stuffing was really tasty, as well as the mashed potatoes. Wiener schnitzel here is always fantastic too. We decided to speak with the manager about the issues and she didn’t even apologize for the hair in our food. It’s not a huge deal, but it’s kind of just gross to find that in something you’re eating. The problem with my salad was addressed and I guess resolved, though it was a bit odd. We ended the meal with cherry strudel which was on the sweet side rather than tart. Just personal preference! I’d come back in the future but I don’t think we will be returning anytime soon.
Incredible German food. The poutine schnitzel is to die for. The cream puff for desert is amazing.
Absolutely phenomenal food with exceptional taste, great service, and great ambiance!!! And all at a fair price!!! Definitely my go to restaurant!
Impressed. The service was exceptional. The food was wonderful and authentic. The atmosphere is quaint and feels like home. The food again, was great. Obviously fresh and made to order. Even the cocktails were right on the money. We will go again to try the rest of the menu.
It's a little pricey, but its quality food. I got the cabbage roll, with whipped potatoes and cucumber salad. It was really good! Next I'm gonna try the sauerkraut and kielbasa.
The sirloin filet was awesome. I was actually surprised at the size of the cut. This cut was thicker and larger than the cuts I've seen at other steakhouses. Cooked rare...perfect! Also ordered a side of grilled shrimp. Meal was great. Wish I would have gotten a pic of the meal. I will next visit.
