I can't say enough bad things about this company. First, you RARELY can get a person on the phone and - haha - when you leave a message. NO ONE calls back. Then you ask for their main number (you figure HQ will answer, right? Wrong!) NO ONE answers or calls back there either! If that isn't enough to make you turn around and order elsewhere, then when THEY set up an appointment for an install, NO ONE ARRIVED AND NO ONE EVEN CALLED!!! I've never worked with a worse, more unprofessional company than Backyard Builders aka Handyhome Products. Avoid at all costs!

We purchased our shed at Lowe's on 4/29/2020 and scheduled the shed installation on April 30th for June 18th, a 49 day waiting period. I emailed the the scheduler on 6/11 and she replied the next day stating that I was scheduled for the original install date. The scheduler states that she called and left a message on 6/16 but looking back at all our voicemails, no message was left. I emailed again yesterday letting her know that we had demoed our old shed and that everything was out in the yard, to please confirm again that we are good to go. I called this morning and she told me that she had to get in contact with the builder and that she would call me back in 15 minutes. When she called me back, she tells me that the builder has decided not to go out and work because of the weather and that he would be out tomorrow. I told the scheduler that the weather report for my area does not show rain or thunderstorms for today but does show it for tomorrow. I asked to please speak to the builder and the scheduler told me he's not in the office. I'm so frustrated and upset right now. We did our part to make sure we were home and available for the install, we maid sure we had all the permits were and the area was prepped. We've put out a call to Lowe's to complain about the service.
Danielle Cifone was extreamly kind.....she sold me an .....as is..... no refund .....display model.... i am on disability..... so im limited as what to do with it.... i shopped around for someone to transport it.... no one could....I started to panic.... then i found someone who would for 950....i called Chase Visa.... they pointed out that it was .....as is..... no refund...... they would put it in dispute but could not guarantee the outcome .......I called Danielle......... she said she would refund my money anyway.....had me almost in tears.... i have seen some other posts...and am very suspicious of some of the posts .....for my experience with Danielle was a Blessing
I scheduled my shed installation on April 26th for July 9th, a 71 day waiting period. The builder never showed up to work and as of writing this, I still do not have a new date for installing my shed at my home. I had to call this morning to figure out why I had yet to be contacted by my installer. If I had not done so, I am not sure if I would have even heard from the company. It is ridiculous that I waited 71 days and then a builder did not show up. I did my part to make sure I was home and available for the install; as well as, making sure that all the permits were acquired. I would expect that the builder at least show up and if not then at least this company would notify me. I shouldn't be the one asking where is the individual for who is supposed to be doing the install. I would not recommend purchasing services from this company based on my experience.
Not a good experience. Initial appointment was scheduled months in advance, then only 3 days before, our appointment had to be rescheduled because of rain the week before. Finally over a week later we were given another date. We asked if it could be later in the week and were told no. On the day of installation we were told they would be here from 12-2pm. At 3pm no one came, so we called the office. The woman said she would find out where the builder was and would call us back. We were never called back, we called the office several times and no one answered. Finally the builder showed up at 5pm. They left at 730pm after it was dark and were still not finished. I was told they would be back today, well no one has come back. I have a half built shed sitting in my yard 18 days after my original appointment. Avoid this place like the plague, they do not care about the customer whatsoever.
