One of my favorite places to go. I love love love their soups, many options to choose from and great staff to help you pick what you want. They also have so many choices of drinks with or without boba, slushy or iced, Thai Tea is my favorite. I highly recommend it!

Hotpot for life. Seafood Essance is my favorite so far. Order it every single time I come here. Nice area with lots of parking. No outside drink/ food.

One of my favorite regular go-to hot pot places (sorry Boiling Point, you've been bumped to 2nd place) because of great taste, great portion, great atmosphere, great service, and reasonably priced. Love how you can T-REX the hot pot (aka: give me more meat and less veggies) for the same price, have a multitude of tasty soup base & dipping sauces to choose from, and serve quality meat. My favorite soup base is the seafood essence, second new favorite is the pork bone. Perfect flavor combo after tossing all the stuff. Best of all, I can refill the soup base and bring leftovers home. I don't often order from the regular non-hot-pot menu, but when I have, everything was surprisingly good, better than I expected it to be. Ironically, this was a Restaurant that I didn't feel like visiting at first for it giving a vibe of wanna-be too high class. Came with a friend once, reluctantly, but found myself pleasantly surprised & impressed. And now, I'm a regular.

Jazz Cat is one of the OG shabu spots and remains one of my favorites. The space is dark and intimate with tables and booths all separated from each other. They also offer a Yelp waitlist, although I don't think it was actually accurate. Thankfully, our party of three was seated right away since we were starving. We started off with some appetizers: Golden Fishballs (8.95), Fried Tofu (5.95), and Popcorn Chicken (6.95). Trust me, you must get the golden fishballs! These fried fishballs are so crispy and savory, especially with the surprise filling on the inside. This is an absolute must get and easily proves why it's such a popular item here. With the regular shabu entree (13.98), you've got plenty of options. They have a huge selection of broth options with 37 choices, which can be a blessing and curse. Great for all the variety, but terrible if you're indecisive. I got the Japanese Sukiyaki, which is one of my favorite types of broths. I did get a taste of my friend's Spicy Seafood Essence and wow! I am 100% getting that one next time from now on. It was filled with a rich seafood aroma with a nice kick to it --yummm! As for sauces, the Spicy Japanese Sesame was on point with a spicy and tangy dressing. They actually let you choose two sauces, so doesn't hurt to try different sauces here. Always go for the T-Rex option as well that gives you more meat than veggies, because yay to being carnivores.
