The worst place I have ever lived in. It is infested with mice. I have been having mice issues for so long that I can't handle it anymore. Maintenance and pest control keep coming on a weekly basis, but the mice are still popping. The management promised that someone will come sometime to look at the entire building for holes, and I have to wait for him. The maintenance team is okay, but their supervisor is so rude, unprofessional and loves to blame the tenant for all the issues in the building. My advice: before committing to any lease, inspect the unit carefully and ask to review the maintenance history and whether there has been rodent issues.

Steer clear of this place! While the building itself is nice, it is not worth the headache of living here. Claridge has severe rodent issues. I constantly had mice scurrying around my studio apartment over the course of the year I lived here. It would come and go in waves, but when they were present in my unit it was terrible. What was even more terrible is the lack of response of the office. I complained about the mice on several occasions and was met with different variations of accusatory behavior (with the maintence man actually telling me to clean my apartment although it was clean and he had never even seen it) or the manager telling me \you know DC has a rat problem\ essentially trying to absolve themselves from liability. They hired an exterminator who comes once a week. He is useless and clearly hates his job. All he would do is come in, move appliances around and tell me he would have maintence come in to fill in the holes. He is the professional yet he was leaving the work to be done by the untrained maintence staff. Maintence was in there almost weekly filling in holes yet the problem persisted. Anybody who is renting has the right to live in a habitable environment and this was not it. I'd highly advise against moving here.
