Stray dog found its way to my house, was too afraid to leave - very friendly female. Gave her some water and treats. Called Brianna's Sanctuary to see if they could take the dog. They had one kennel left and said they would take her. I brought her there, the place is well kept, the animals look happy and healthy. Told me the procedure they take to locate the owners. The personnel is very friendly and helpful. I will definitely keep them in mind should another dog find its way to me.

I lived on the property of Breanna’s Sanctuary, during my 5 months living on the property I was astonished at the horrible treatment of these animals. There are 20-25 cats living on the sanctuary, every one had an eye infection and mucus running from their noses. Several were infested with fleas and worms. At no point did I see any person associated with the sanctuary treat these cats for any of there many elements. No flea medicine, no worm medication and absolutely no antibiotics were given for the severe sinus infection they all had, have. Several times they were not fed for days, my daughter and I bought and kept a large bag of cat food so they wouldn’t go hungry. Now for the dogs, the kennels were never cleaned on Sundays. They would show up between 7 am and noon, stay for an hour or less and not return for the rest of the day. The dogs would spill their water and not have any with the hot temperatures of summer until the next day. The dogs were also infested with fleas and I can only assume worms with no treatments given. There was a small pug type dog that stayed on my porch who chewed at his skin to the extent his fur was gone from the middle of his spine to his tail. I beg anyone who is need for an animal to be rescued please call another shelter, Breanna’s is a joke and please do not give anymore donations. Whether it be money or supplies. I witnessed garbage bags of cat and dog food throw away. I also witnessed an entire room of wet can food, a 10x10 or so room full of canned food, yet the cats went hungry more often than not. Simply put, they do not take care of these animals, yes they give them a place to stay, but it’s no better than being a stray.

I found an injured dog on a Sunday morning on a busy highway. She had just been hit by a car. After flagging down other drivers to help, I decided to take her to Brianna's. Linda and her husband were out in the yard. Linda looked at her and said she would take her. Sadly, next morning Linda took her to a vet and had to put her down. The dog's injuries were to severe to save her. Since then, I have donate food & towels and will continue to do so. Brianna's do excellent work and need more donations. Please help them.
