Awesome spot for a date night dinner! The food was all excellent quality and meticulously prepared. The noodles were especially good, and the risotto was deliciously traditional except for an interesting fusion with the added seaweed. Staff was kind and helpful and the heated tent is perfect even during this colder season. Definitely a recommend!

Very inviting and intimate atmosphere with great staff and excellent service. The food is always inventive, incredible-tasting, and full of flavor. I highly recommend Akar for anyone looking to enjoy a special night out with a friend or loved one.
A small, cute spot for a unique meal. I had the soft shell tempura crab and grits.. so yummy!
It was all very very good and really enjoyed the space and the warm hospitality. The food was plated beautifully, had rich flavor and excellent taste. Bernie has done a great job.
All of the food was fantastic, exceeding already high expectations. The service was personal and not forced. The drinks! I ordered an old fashion and they recommended their custom take on one and it was the best drink I have ever had. My wife and I both plan to bring our friends back because we feel compelled to share such an amazing experience.
Awesome place! Better to book a table beforehand. We enjoyed tremendous lamb shank, yummy duck brest, delicious appetizers and cocktails. Everything incredibly and special!
Absolutely delicious. We had a couple of the starters and the short ribs. Everything was on point. They even made the curbside service feel super personal (handwritten note from the Chef!) Thank you, Akar
Went for my birthday, found a new favorite restaurant. I tried quite a few menu items, and was highly impressed by each one. The pumpkin soup special had so many layers of flavor, I could not stop eating it. The short ribs were falling off the bone and the fat had rendered perfectly. Sauces and spices on all ingredients were on point, making this one of the best meals I have ever had. Will most definitely be returning.
