Claytor Lake Water Sports is THE place to go if you want to have a fun lake day with the family or your friends! The gentleman who owns and operates the facility ensures that you’ll have a lot of fun while being safe and explaining everything thoroughly. We’ve enjoyed renting boats, kayaks, etc! Can’t wait to come back again soon, and tell Johnny I sent ya!

We rented the 30-ft island and had a fantastic evening on the lake. It had everything you needed for it a perfect family adventure on the lake. Our kids are 6 & 9. There were live jackets available that fit them. There was a slide, diving board, and two stand up paddle boards. There is a small bathroom on board. The boat does not go fast and you cannot tow anything behind it. There is a grill, but you need to bring all of your own supplies. There's ample seating for several families.
This is a big no from me. My friend and his family invited me to join them on a day on the lake with a boat the where renting from this organization. We rented there biggest pontoon boat and expected the best for the price we payed. We took the boat out on the lake and found out the boat wasn’t able to stay afloat. I was sitting on the front of the boat with my iPhone on my lap and this boat nosedived into the water taking on at least a 100 gallons of water. The water swept my phone and other items off the boat. Thank god I had my life jacket on or it could have been much worse. The boat the righted itself and didn’t fully sink. This put all of are lives at risk especially my friends grandparents who where no in good enough shape to make it to shore. With my phone gone we decided to take this dangerous boat back to the docks where the rental place was. The boat then did the same thing a second time. Finally with the dock in sight the boat did the same thing again while the rental workers watch. They then tried blaming us that we didn’t have the boat balance with people which is untrue with more the half of are party on the back of the boat. They offered no refund to us and kept trying to blame up. Very unprofessional and rude. So all in all RIP to my phone but thank god im alive. 1 star they need to look into there boats and phone refunds.
This was our first time using Claytor Lake Motor Sports and we will DEFINITELY be back! The staff was very friendly and professional. The boat we rented for the day was exactly as described on their site. Very clean and all parts in excellent working order! We can’t wait to plan our next trip and reserve with this company!

Staff was extremely knowledgeable, through, & kind. However the state only allows them to rent ONE JetSki so book early in advance!!!
